In September 2016, when I met Liang's mother for the first time, she seemed extremely distressed at the idea that her 8-year-old son, because of his problems in French, would miss his primary and secondary schooling, his entry into college, university, in short his life.... She had explained all this to us through her eldest daughter who acted as an interpreter, as she spoke neither English nor French.

Three years ago, I had set my mind on volunteering and helping children in need. One thing led to another and my research led me to the JAME organisation, which seemed to fit perfectly with my vision of tutoring. My first meeting was really conclusive: I felt that my passion to help was really shared.

My name is Victoria. I have four children. The first is called José, he is eight years old. The second is Jonathan, six years old. The third, Marie Josée, is three years old and the last one, Daniel, is nine months old. A year ago, I met Jame and Claire. When Claire comes to our house, my boys are very happy, because since she started coming to our house, they show a lot of interest in reading.
