Online resource site for distance support

With the arrival of the pandemic, JAME had to switch to 'remote support' mode, like many community organisations.

To do this, we have created an online resource site (readings, games, activities...) that our volunteers browse each week to find the tools they need for their weekly session.

This portal lists several types of resources. Volunteers can find a selection of several hundred books accessible from the pretnumerique.ca catalogue (catalogue of the BanQ and the Montréal libraries). To access these catalogues, volunteers must first subscribe to the services of these libraries. Thus, they have access to a multitude of books for all ages and tastes and in many languages: albums, documentaries, novels, and even books without text.

We have also listed a number of educational games to help children work on comprehension skills, develop vocabulary and work on logic. Thanks to the "mouse sharing" feature, volunteers and children can compete in fiery games of memory!

If you are doing distance support, save this website in your browser's bookmarks, it is the perfect companion to your volunteering.
